Teaching at Anahata Akademie August 2016

Andrew Cohen Listen

This is a 30 minute excerpt from my first public teaching after three and a half years. It took place at the Anahata Ashram in Germany on August 26th.

The talk was a long answer to an unusual question: why does it “suck” to be a postmodern student of a spiritual teacher or Guru in the twenty-first century?

In my response to the question, I speak from my own experience about the dangers and pitfalls of the mythic guru identity and of the urgent need for the teacher-student model to evolve to meet the needs of mature adults in postmodernity and beyond.
