Eros Agape

Balancing Eros and Agape – an Evening and Weekend in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany)

admin

Andrew has been invited by Dr. Marc Stollreiter to lead an open evening and weekend seminar at his Center in Mülheim, Germany.

As a result of his intense experiences over the past few years, Andrew’s teaching has developed deeper dimensions of compassion, patience and humility. At the same time, his passion is still ignited by the blazing fire of Eros, the Evolutionary Impulse. Marc felt compelled to invite Andrew to share and explore a new perspective on how to balance the two fundamental principles of Eros and Agape.

In Agape the heart of God is broken wide open as the deepest dimension of our own fractured souls. Agape is the powerful presence of love that is human tenderness, vulnerability, forgiveness and compassion. In Agape we find release from the torment of victimization, the prison of rage and the paralysis of fear. Agape is that profound expression of care, kindness and acceptance that makes all things right.

Eros is that mysterious creative force that birthed the evolving universe. Eros is the energy and intelligence that gave rise to the entire creative process, and is doing so now and in every moment. Eros is the unseen driver that literally compels us to exist. When we are at our best, Eros is the relentless force of love in consciousness that inspires us to make the effort to evolve and to want to make our world a better place.

Agape is the deep recognition and acceptance of our inherent imperfection. Eros strives for perfection at ever higher levels of human potential and possibility.

How do we best balance these radically opposing yet perfectly complementary expressions of Spiritual love?
