A Ceaseless Creative Striving

When we awaken to the evolutionary impulse, as the urge toward higher creativity, it becomes apparent to us that the energy that is driving the process as a whole is inherently spiritual or divine. Spirit created and is creating the universe. What is this ceaseless creative striving in matter, nature, and culture? And where does it come from? What is it that mysteriously compels the universe to exist, life to emerge, and mind to appear? That which compels this complex and singular process to exist and develop is Spirit as the creative impulse. And when we feel that energy surging through our own bodies and minds, we find our purpose in being here, as ourselves, in the world, so we can consciously create the future as an agent of that impulse itself.

This inspiring word gave me renewed perspective and effortless resolve as I embrace the task of preparing for a new term as a university teacher and administrator. It reminds me to be an open agent of Spirit as it pours through us all.

This is true cocreation, uniting our minds, our bodies, and our hearts and allowing the creative impulse to flow through us. This impulse is infinitely more elegant and wise than any of our single parts could ever be and yet it can only be made manifest by beings who are willing to allow this expression to happen. What a beautiful tapestry will we begin to weave together as we all awaken to this possibility. Then again, how beautiful this tapestry already is and we are only now becoming aware that we are creating it together and always have been.

Yes Andrew, one could also say this ‘creative endless force’ in what is known as our world-universe-cosmology shaping nature, culture and even our self-stature seems to provide a gradient for nature, humanity and godliness to unfold. I am now reading X- Events: The Collapse Of Everything by John Casti to perhaps heal, help and provide hope for what he intelligently calls ‘Chasms in Complexities’.

I’m not sure calling the relentless nature of life spiritual clarifies anything. The universe as we are learning to know it (work in progress) seems to have at least ten dimensions, dark matter, and dark energy. Lots of mystery! It all goes together. Is something driving it or is it just driving? Is my sentience and/or awareness part of a developmental progression or an “effect?” In those rare ecstatic glimpses I find no clarity on such concepts.

Unfortunately, “enlightenment” seems to remain politically correct by not directly addressing the tenets of spiritual growth, the process that enables humanity to rise to the human potential that God instilled in each of us. I believe that spiritual growth draws upon God’s wisdom, power, and unconditional love. This process seems to be facilitated through each person’s soul to the extent that the person enables such divine attributes to guide his or her path on earth.

Yes, Andrew, Yes! That’s where I come from too.

Someday I’ll say more. For now, thanks to you
    for putting it out there.

There is no power but Spirit power. it can be misused, warped, or used
against itself so that it becomes evil. We can use it blindly and selfishly, if we choose to. We can even destroy. But used as it is given to be used, it is the power of increasing, abundant LIFE. That LIFE will bless all who encounter it. It will strengthen all who receive it. It will inspire those who
claim and use it. It is all we need.
