Now, if only I knew what it was that I could do, besides just being me. What you've added to the conversation, Andrew, is that evolution is ongoing and happening on not just the manifest level, but at the level of consciousness as well. The debate gets tricky when we start to slice and dice how far up/down does consciousness evolve. I say all the way up and all the way down. But I think the one word that explains it to me is this -- novelty. Also don't get the distinction between "traditional enlightenment" and "evolutionary enlightenment". Awakening to "what IS" and "what IS becoming" to me don't seem mutually exclusive, since "what is" is just a snapshot in time of "what is happening" in an ongoing evolution. Actually, it seems like an arbitrary semantic boundary to me, which furthers dualism rather than unifies it.
