Creating the Future Unceasingly

Evolutionary Enlightenment is about awakening directly to the energy and intelligence that created the universe and is creating the universe. The Big Bang, the birth of the universe, was the unimaginably powerful expression of that energy and intelligence—and still is. The nature of what I call the “evolutionary impulse” is an ecstatic urgency that is always only interested in one thing: creating the future, giving rise to that which is new…unceasingly. What I call “Traditional Enlightenment,” on the other hand, is about awakening to timeless, formless Being—that primordial emptiness from which the entire creative process emerged 14 billion years ago. Before the universe was created there was no time and there was no space. That’s why when you enter into a very deep state of meditation you experience such deep peace. That’s because there you awaken to that deepest dimension of reality and of your own self that is always free from time and history. Traditional Enlightenment is about being free from history altogether. The new Evolutionary Enlightenment is about creating the future unendingly.

I don’t understand what is my “proper self”. Would that be my participation in the collective inconscient? Or my being part of the primordial emptyness you seem to assimilate to the creating divinity???
Please Andrew, some sort of WRITTEN answer, I’m not good at oral english, sorry! And reading is so much faster than listening, at least for me.
    Thank you.

    hi andrew,
    excellent rendition, very powerful perspective.

i guess the challenge is to sublime oneself into traditional enlightenment, be a part of the energy, consciousness. every time a musician, painter, sportsman or anyone who gets absorbed deeply in what one is doing, the outcome is phenomenally different and is for all to see and experience.

any thoughts on how this could be done?

once we are able to get into that level of consciousness, automatically one would influencing, creating the future unceasingly in every action of ours.

Dear Adrew: If one is already a divine spiritual Being, what are you creating?

As always, Andrew, you stimulate us with your ideas. But where have you got this one from? Enlightenment has always been evolutionary!!! This is nothing new.
Timeless, formless Being is not empty, it’s the womb of creation, the source of your “evolutionary impulse” and “ecstatic urgency”, an infinite potentiality from which the present is emerging as the cosmic conjouring trick. The “future is just an idea, a thought – not a reality.

Don’t get the use of the word “urgency”. Also don’t get the distinction between “traditional enlightenment” and “evolutionary enlightenment”. Awakening to “what IS” and “what IS becoming” to me don’t seem mutually exclusive, since “what is” is just a snapshot in time of “what is happening” in an ongoing evolution. Actually, it seems like an arbitrary semantic boundary to me, which furthers dualism rather than unifies it.

Could it be that awakening is just the ability to realize one’s continual effortless movement through the timeless?

Well this nails it. Now for the pragmatics and creating the new forms as evolution has done for 14.5 nillion years. The novelty and creativity necessary for our time on the Earth.

What has always struck me about Creation and the ontological/theological debate about how far up or down does evolution go, is this …. we can clearly see that Creation is seeking out novelty, in ALL its forms. What you’ve added to the conversation, Andrew, is that evolution is ongoing and happening on not just the manifest level, but at the level of consciousness as well. The debate gets tricky when we start to slice and dice how far up/down does consciousness evolve. I say all the way up and all the way down.

But I think the one word that explains it to me is this — novelty.

Consciousness requires, according to leading edge consciousness studies , a physical coorelate in order to have experience. It is the interiority of matter. My question is, what occurs after the body dies, wherein when consciousness expands, where is the coorelate that it can be interior to, since it appears that it does not stand alone?

    thank you,

Andrew, you are just so fantastiac and only the use of the term ‘passion’ to describe the energy that is continuously creating the future, with us or without us, and it is surely the highest service that we can give to Life, God, Spirit, the Universe, our fellow human beings and all life on earth and beyond is to do what only we can to be a part of it all.
Now, if only I knew what it was that I could do, besides just being me.
    Love,
