What Is Evolution? (Quote of the Week)
Whenever I explain what evolution is, I say simply this: Evolution is a cosmic process that is going somewhere in and through time. And we are all part of that process. This simple fact is potentially life-transforming, but it’s also hard to grasp at a deep level. The process that created us is moving. We tend to see the world around us as static. But it’s not. It’s going somewhere. We’re going somewhere. Awakening to this truth about all of manifestation changes the way we see the world around us and our place in it. The biggest and most important part of this awakening is that we discover our power to affect where the process that created us is going. We realize the ultimate reason for our own existence: to be a spiritual hero, to boldly take responsibility for the future of the process itself.

Oh yes Andrew!
) the powerful and estactic forces of Evolution.
It is such a “Welcome Home,my Beloved !” to know that we are nothing but the Process Itself bursting from the nothingness of Being in a vertical momemtum reaching for the always Highest through the overwhelming Love of It,Him,Her… but also through a rooted deep Compassion for the world that is crying in its darkness and struggles for the needs of “Thy Will be done in Earth as in Heaven”.
To know that we are freely invited to integrally be partners of this Creative Intelligence shaping worlds, universes and life forms at any time, anywhere and for ever, is what makes the life we live such a purposeful spiritual adventure.
And the battle is merciless and ongoing .
Mr Eagleman’s come up with “Possibilian” instead of limiting our God idea to only believe/don’t believe and agnostic.
His idea is that we should be thinking that all ideas should be entertained in the search for truth, scientific or un-scientific.
If we can recognize that time, space and reality are human constructs, would it be acceptable to say that the God idea can also be a human construct?
The article on this idea of “Possibilian” is discussed in the New Yorker magazine 4/25/11 along with other interesting ideas.
I like that designation, it suits my beliefs.
Is my above comment a stray, meant to be posted on the article re: Possibilian? Sorry.
Re: Evolution:
Though evolution can appear so gradual as to seem like watching paint dry and even more so, it undeniably proceeds and will continue to the end of the planet’s existence and maybe even that event will be part of Earth’s evolutionary trajectory.
What’s curious and interesting is that sometimes certain developments become speeded up or more discernable and sometimes remain dormant.
In observing design, when one element is changed all the other elements respond in the new configuration. I believe the planet’s makeup follows this and change will affect many other elements when change occurs, the more drastic the changes, the more the response of other elements.
My unscientific thoughts but based on work in designing.
Do you think Existence will love you less if you are not a “spiritual hero”?!:)
Hi Aliya,
In blogging courtesy, I reply to your comments and I would hope you’d do the same.
You seem to be adverse to replying to my questions. I’d be interested to have you respond as to reasons for what may seem like a lack of blogging courtesy.
I understand we have differences of viewpoints but that shouldn’t prevent you from responding, civilly of course, with no malice I would hope.
Hi Aliya, re: Spiritual Heroes
Becoming known widely as a hero is not commonplace, only very exceptional people are acknowledged as such and only by others, not themselves.
For most spiritual pilgrims, that kind of acknowledgement is not an aim and if sought, shows egotism that belies their spirituality.
Wouldn’t you say so too?
I couldn´t agree more. I have been reading about how the invisible cosmic influences determine and affect the life on our planet and in that way the proceses our society is going trough.
I am certain that we are now in a prosess that will change the fate of the earth. We are all aware that the world is changing, aren´t we?
This evolution is taking us towards a new cosmic era. I have been reading Jens Jerdnal´s blog and book on the topic and I recommend it to you all. Visit http://www.paradigmwatch.com/index.php there are many thing we need to be aware of to be able to understand the process and embrace the future with confidence. We need to become aware as a society as a hole.
Best regards to all!!
